About Carolien
People who work with me often describe my style as warm, direct, pragmatic and deeply human.
I listen carefully. I see patterns quickly. I ask questions that can shift perspective. And I like turning complex psychological and leadership concepts into something you can actually use on Monday morning.
But I am equally interested in the deeper layer.
What is driving you?
What happens when you stop performing?
What does your intuition already know?
And what becomes possible when your personal ambition starts serving something larger than yourself?
“Carolien saw me for who I am and was my guide in a way that suited me: pragmatic, open and honest. It has helped me move forward in every area of my life.”
—Robert Bruijs
“Carolien combines technical knowledge and deeper emotional questions in a way that brings perspective and reality together — with room for humor and healthy self-reflection.”
— Commercial Director, Building Materials
“Carolien listens attentively, shows understanding and asks exactly the right questions. Her approach is professional, yet incredibly human and warm.”
— Merel Kaspers-Taat
The next generation of leadership
I believe the leaders who will matter most in the coming decades will not necessarily be those who know the most.
They will be the people who can see the whole.
Who can combine ambition with awareness.
Strategy with intuition.
Power with responsibility.
Prosperity with regeneration.
People willing to ask:
Is it good for me?
Is it good for others?
Is it good for the Earth?
And then have the courage to act on the answer.
Let’s create the next chapter.
Current endeavors
Interlaken, Switzerland September 2026
Later this September, I will be joining the Earthrise Collective Global Gathering in Switzerland. A gathering centred around Wisdom Keepers, ceremony, unification and humanity’s relationship with the Earth.
For me, participating in gatherings like this is part of the same exploration that informs my professional work:
How can ancient and Indigenous wisdom enter into meaningful dialogue with the challenges of our modern world. hile being approached with respect for the traditions and people carrying that wisdom?
And what can leaders learn when we stop seeing the Earth simply as a resource and start recognising ourselves as participants in a living system?
I will be taking those questions with me and bringing what I learn back into my work.
My mission
Currently writing
“Regenerative Leadership. And how shamanism can be a bridge towards creating win-win-win solutions”
I am currently writing a book exploring the connection between regenerative leadership, applied shamanism and the win-win-win.
At its heart is a question I believe will become increasingly important for leaders and organisations:
What if leadership were not only about creating less harm, but about leaving people, organisations and the Earth stronger than we found them?
The book explores leadership through three interconnected fields:
Good for me.
Good for others.
Good for the Earth.
And the role a regenerative leader can play within that living system
Let’s meet!
